and yes, we all do and usualyy there's no one to hear.

It seems to me the 'crying' and the 'in vain' part are the common threads of our whole existence and all our endeavours!
I think its very brave to cry for help. Keep crying. Keep trying. Maybe someday someone will be able to hear you. Its sad that most of us are unable to cry out loud bcz we take it as foregone conclusion that noone will hear, or understand.

inkblot: Well, this is something I had written earlier, a part of a piece it didn't feel one with at the time. For some, faith itself is the cry for help. But I know what you mean.

Well, a cry for help is never in vain. Even if nobody else hears you or helps your out...you've done your bit. Your cry will travel. Someday, somewhere it'll echo and someone will reach out!
