In your face!

If there be an equivalent of the Eureka! moment to describe the precise moment disappointment descended, I'd say I had two of those recently...and, in pretty quick succession too! For the uninitiated lesser mortals, these are moments when the light bulb pops in your head - in this case it popped off and not on - and you stop and go 'Hmm'.

The first of these came on my birthday and the second, two days later, at a family do in a church! It's so strange that, at times, we're completely unable, or unwilling, to recognise what has been staring us in the face for almost an eternity. It doesn't speak very highly of one either way, does it? Unwilling or unable...I don't know which is worse :-)

The answer to happiness, then - okay, relative happiness - may lie in the answer to the question 'Why?' Why is one unable, or unwilling, or recognise the truth?

Hmm...

Maia: So, what're you saying...my family can't have a 'do' in a church? Or, that, they can't have do in a 'church'? :-/

Backpacker: Alive? Yeah, guess so :-)

You're not related to this girl after whom a wafers company named its product, are you? ;-)

Good to see you!

Raj Kiran? You do know what he was caught doing, right? Trying to scale the walls of the curly-haired Sai baba's ashram and threatening to kill him! :-)

Oh, I'm getting along...

I like how you've three full lines on Raj Kiran and less than one for yourself! Les Terrible! hehe, but seriously.. what's with the century-long blog breaks? you make me look good!

BACKPACKER: I haven't had the time to blog lately and, to be honest, didn't have much to say either. But, I guess I could've written a few more posts in the last few days - and there's been plenty to say too - but haven't had the energy for it.

What's your excuse? :-)

RICERCAR: I guess you fall in the 'Unable' category then. I'm in 'Unwilling', which, I'm told, is a wee bit worse than the former :-)

But, seriously, I guess it amounts to our basic need to cling on to some sort of a safety blanket, doesn't it?

no excuse :) plan to change that.

i guess you're right - it is a need, maybe because it makes life easier (possible?)

dont know if unable is better than unwilling. if unwilling changes his mind, he would be able :-)

what was that post that just flashed on and dissapeared? are you doing a ricercar? :-)

RICERCAR: If unwilling were to change his mind, he wouldn't be himself, would he? :-)

oh, that post wasn't anything much...just some silly drivel! but, you mean ricercar too writes posts that she deletes a few hours later? ;-)

BACKPACKER: Same A. Was a sily, silly post and I should've known better than to put it up. Trust me, you didn't miss anything ;-)
